Christmas ‘stations’

For the last two years members of emerge (a downtown congregation focusing on 18-35 year olds) have collaborated with curieux.ca, another new church in Montreal, in developing an approach to celebrating Christmas which uses a number of “stations” placed around the darkened cathedral, and is accessed gallery-style. This has given church members, their friends and families the opportunity to use the traditional space of the cathedral in a non-traditional way, and has been very helpful in counteracting the rampant commercialism associated with the season.
