Appeal uses Internet

Lambeth, U.K.

(ACNS)-Jerusalem 2000, the Archbishop of Canterbury's appeal for the work of the church in the Holy Land, has launched a new Web site to support its latest initiative.

The appeal, which has a target of 1.5 million pounds sterling, asks each member of the Anglican church to contribute one pound.

Its aim is to enable the church to provide long-term capital development projects to alleviate the plight of Christians, Muslims and Jews caught up in the current escalating violence in the Holy Land.
