Canadian youth to assist at Lambeth
staff
Mar 1, 2008
Nicholas Pang of the diocese of Montreal will join youth from other provinces of the Anglican Communion as a steward at the Lambeth Conference to be held July 16-Aug. 3 in Canterbury, England. He was chosen from a number of young Anglicans across Canada who applied to assist in the decennial meeting of the world’s Anglican bishops.
An undergraduate student at McGill University in Montreal, Mr. Pang was the youth delegate from the diocese of Montreal at last year’s General Synod.
At the end of the conference, Mr. Pang will join other young stewards for a three-day closing and reflection time, which will include a conversation and reflection with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.
Judy Steers, youth initiatives co-ordinator of the Anglican Church of Canada, said her office is hoping that Mr. Pang will write a blog (Web diary) about his experience.
