Have tractor, will travel
May 1, 2005

Bishop Rodney Andrews of Saskatoon will pay tribute to Saskatchewan's centennial by riding a 1949 model R John Deere tractor across the province, visiting parishes, at 16 km/h beginning June 13.

Bishop Andrews told the StarPhoenix newspaper that during his 1,500-kilometre journey, he intends to collect money for the Anglican summer camp in Okema, Sask., HIV/AIDS in Africa, and flood victims in Guyana, Saskatoon's companion diocese.

He hopes to make locals aware of the Anglican church's presence in the province for the last 100 years. Bishop Andrews is seeking sponsors to help pay for his fuel so that all the money he raises will go to the three causes.
