Norma Brown co-founded Toronto day-care centre
Dec 1, 2005

Norma Brown, wife of Bishop Arthur Brown (retired suffragan bishop of Toronto), died Sept. 15 in hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Brown was active in the Student Christian Movement and in athletics at the University of Western Ontario, where she graduated in 1947.

In 1975, she was appointed a member, and later vice-chair and consultant, to the Social Assistance Review Board of the Ontario government, where she worked for 16 years, according to the diocese of Toronto. The family asked that contributions in Mrs. Brown’s memory be made to St. Michael and All Angels Day Care Centre, Toronto, of which she was a co-founder.
