Journal seeking images ‘from the heart’
Jan 2, 2008
Donald Shields
Three sparrows take a breather at a fountain just beside St. James’ Cathedral, in downtown Toronto. The photo “epitomizes joy and the gospel text about God caring for the sparrows,” writes contributor Donald Shields.

A retiring priest whose joy “radiated out” to his congregation as he is surrounded with balloons, a child happily jumping in a water park showing “the blessings of physical health and well-being” are just two photographs that you will see in Picture Your Faith, a monthly feature on the Anglican Journal Web site.

The photos reflect the theme of Joy for the month of December, and can be viewed at www.anglicanjournal.com/picture-your-faith/

The goal of Picture Your Faith is to tell stories of faith through images; each month, the Journal will invite submissions based on a particular theme. The next theme is “From the Heart,” and the deadline for submissions is on Sunday, Jan. 27.
