Radner

Rev. Ephraim Radner, called “one of the most creative Anglican minds” by no less than the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has been appointed professor of theology at Wycliffe College in Toronto starting Sept. 1.

Currently the rector of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Pueblo, Colo., Mr. Radner has a doctorate in systematic theology from Yale University.

“He embodies the Anglican ideal of the pastor-scholar,” said Wycliffe’s principal, George Sumner, of Mr. Radner, whose ministerial experience includes Burundi, Haiti, and inner-city Cleveland. “Ephraim also continues to make a key contribution to conversations about the future shape of the Anglican Communion through his membership on the Covenant Design Group. On that stage he has been a patient and wise voice on behalf of the unity and catholicity of church.”

Mr. Radner has authored many publications, including The End of the Church and Hope Among the Fragments; he co-authored The Fate of Communion, a theological reflection on contemporary Anglicanism.

Wycliffe College is an evangelical Anglican graduate school of theology within the University of Toronto.
