The diocese of New Westminster will participate in creating an "inter-spiritual centre" with a shared house of worship in a new "sustainable urban neighbourhood" planned on the southeast corner of Vancouver's False Creek.

According to a report on the diocesan Web site, the neighbourhood, to be developed in the next 10 years, will include an area that will be used as the athlete's village for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Anglicans will join aboriginals and local faith groups in creating the inter-faith facility.
