New Essentials branch
Oct 1, 2004
A new chapter of Essentials, a coalition of Canadian Anglicans supporting conservative views on homosexuality and traditional Christianity, was formed recently in Brandon, Man. In a news release, Essentials Manitoba said there had been discussions among clergy and laity in Brandon about developments in the Anglican Church of Canada. "Most widely publicized is the recent decision of General Synod to affirm the sanctity of homosexual relationships but there are a significant number of other shifts of stance within the Canadian church which merit concern," it said. About 80 people attended the first meeting.
