Bishop Buckle injured

Bishop Terrence Buckle of the diocese of Yukon, is recovering from a car accident last Oct. 19. He hoped to be back at work full-time in January.

"A pickup truck slid off its lane" and collided head-on with his car, said Bishop Buckle. Both he and the truck driver had to be cut out of their vehicles. The bishop sustained a concussion and injuries to his neck, wrists and ankles.

In the Winter 2000 edition of Northern Lights, the diocesan newspaper, he wrote, "The prayers of many have encouraged me and have kept me in His healing presence. Thank you, my friends, from my heart, for your prayers."
