Marites (Tess) Sison joined the Anglican Journal in 2003 as  senior staff writer and was appointed editor on Aug. 1, 2014. An award-winning journalist, Sison has worked with the World Press Review in New York and the New York Times in its Jakarta, Bangkok and Hong Kong bureaus. She has also been a contributor to CBC Radio,Toronto Star, and the Toronto Sun. From 1987 through 2003, she was a fellow with the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism and has authored and co-authored several books.


Saskia Rowley is an award-winning art director who has worked for Anglican Journal, since 1996. She also heads the Graphics and Print Production Department for the national office of the Anglican Church of Canada, is vice president of the Canadian Church Press, and a professional member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario and member of the Society of News Designers (SND).

Leigh Anne Williams joined the Anglican Journal in 2008 as a part-time staff writer. She also works as Canadian review editor for Publishers Weekly, a New York-based trade magazine for the book publishing industry. Prior to this, Williams worked as a reporter for the Canadian bureau of TIME Magazine, news editor of Quill & Quire, and a copy editor at The Halifax Herald, The Globe and Mail and The Bay Street Bull.


André Forget joined the Anglican Journal in 2014 as staff writer and social media lead. He also serves as managing editor of Whether Magazine, and his writing has appeared in The Dalhousie Review, The Winnipeg Review, and the Town Crier.

Janet Thomas joined Anglican Journal staff in 2010 as Assistant to the Editor. She has worked in the communications department of the Anglican Church of Canada for more than 20 years, in both print and video production. She is also coordinator/manager for ABC Publishing (Anglican Book Centre).

Diana Swift is an award-winning writer and editor with 30 years’ experience in newspaper and magazine editing and production. In January 2011, she joined the Anglican Journal as a contributing editor.

Jane Thornton is graphic designer for the Anglican Journal and a valued member of the Graphics and Print Production Department for the national office of the Anglican Church of Canada. Jane recently joined the Journal’s team, and has worked with the national office and ABC Publishing since 1981.
