Tenure-Track Position in Pastoral Theology

Atlantic School of Theology (AST), a graduate theological school affiliated with Saint Mary’s University, in Halifax, NS, announces a tenure-track position in Pastoral Theology at the rank of Assistant Professor, or junior Associate Professor. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should have an earned doctorate or be near  the completion of such a degree. In accordance  with the School’s Charter preference will be given to candidates from the founding traditions (Anglican, Roman Catholic, and United Church of Canada). Teaching responsibilities will include Pastoral Theology with particular reference to field based education and qualitative research.  Expertise in one or more of Christian Education, Congregational Theory, Worship, and Mission will be expected. The successful candidate will begin September 1, 2008 or as soon as possible.
