A Sisters in Spirit vigil on Parliament Hill attracted around 200 supporters and family members who drew attention to the issue of missing and murdered aboriginal women in Canada. Ottawa was one of 30 communities that marked the event on Oct. 4. The vigils were co-sponsored by Kairos, an ecumenical social justice organization that includes the Anglican Church of Canada.
